Whitfield PTFA

Whitfield C of E School has been extremely fortunate enough to have had a very supportive and hardworking 'Friends of Whitfield', who over the years have organised so many wonderful experiences and events. As we go into 2025, we are looking to relaunch our Whitfield PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friend Association) and look forward to providing more details on this in the new year.

What is a PTFA?

PTFA is a Parent, Teacher and Friend Association, an organisation with a mission to help make the school even better for our children to come to. The aim is to bring together parents, teachers and local community members to raise funds and strengthen the school community. The money raised is spent on the things that a school budget does not cover.

Why join?

There are many reasons why you should join our PTFA. From making new friends and getting to know the school environment, through to helping raise much needed funds and making a difference to the children and school community. All of these things give you that little boost, as it gives you a real link with the school and feels good to know that you are making a difference fort your children, local school and the generations to come.

What will be expected of me?

There is no expectation of any volunteer, any amount of time you can give the PTFA will always be well received. There are so many ways in which you can get involved, from engaging with social media activity, attending PTFA meetings to volunteering at events or coordinating events. Even donating preloved items, raffle prizes or suggesting ideas are all ways of being involved. Being involved does not mean you are forever tied either, we understand that circumstances change as do commitments which there is no set expectation as to how much you will do.

How do I get involved?

If you would be interested in joining the PFTA just let Mrs Watson or Mrs Heppell know.
